Looking for a great way to meet new quilting friends, enjoy
a fabulous classroom, with no phone or other interruptions &
an opportunity to get your projects finished? Sign up for our
new $3 Retreat!
During open hours when our classroom is
not scheduled for a class or event, you may use our tables, electricity,
and pinnable wall surface to your heart's content for a mere $3
per hour, per person.
This is an experimental idea inspired by some of our loveliest
customers that we would like to implement with a few rules &
considerations:
- Please sign up ahead of time to reserve
your space in the classroom so we know how many quilters to
expect and for how long.
- QT will post a calendar and a Sign-In/Sign-Out
sheet at the register for you.
- We ask that you pay at the end of your
session, as you may decide to stay longer than planned.
- We ask that you be aware of scheduled
class times that may run before or after your reserved space,
since we need to assure that our teachers will have plenty of
time to set up and ready themselves for classes.
- Please note that we welcome all quilters:
this is not a time to reserve an exclusive time for clubs.
- Please adhere to the class policies (make
other arrangements for children and visitors, etc.)
- We must limit the use of the classroom
to QT's open hours and unscheduled classroom time.
- Please bring your own tools, sewing machines,
irons, ironing surfaces, etc.
- We cannot provide a 'teacher' during
this time, so please plan your projects accordingly. As always,
we're happy to help, but our first priority needs to be downstairs
on the sales floor helping our shopping quilters. When we are
able, we will do our best to guide you, offer tips and recommend
tools to make your quilting experience a positive one.
- Please tidy up your sewing area when
you are finished.
- If you will be using the pinable wall
surfaces, please purchase a piece of fleece to help preserve
the wall. Simply pin the fleece to the wall and the blocks will
stick right to the fleece. When you're finished, you can then
pin your blocks to the fleece and roll it up to take home!
It is our hope that you have an enjoyable
experience, make many new friends, and find a little 'retreat'
time for quilting!
