Pre-registration is required.
We are very excited to introduce
Ryokan
, the beautiful quilt that forms the structure for our
2012 $5 Quilt Sampler Program.
The pattern, designed by Joe Wood, features 12 houses, each with a different 6” pieced block as one of its “walls.” We will be kitting only the 6” pieced blocks for the
$5 Quilt Sampler Program
, leaving the house and quilt setting for you to finish in your own, individual styles. Our colorways this year will be muted, authentic Japanese taupes, and/or bright, colorful batiks.
The photographs included in this entry, show our interpretation of
Ryokan
in scrappy Japanese taupes, as well as a few examples of the house blocks sewn in fun, colorful batiks. The possibilities are endless with this quilt, and every element of the design, from the pieced 6” blocks to the checkerboard sashing, is a joy to complete. We hope you will find working on the quilt throughout the coming year as satisfying – and compelling – as we did!
Ryokan
will be offered in two palettes this year: Japanese Taupes, and Bright Batiks.
- $25 Pattern & Registration Fee
PLUS
$5 for the first month’s block kit are required at time of enrollment.
